If you require an invoice before payment please contact the Secretariat odlaa@une.edu.au. The membership year begins from 1 March each year and finishes at the end of February of the following year.

Life Membership

Life membership cannot be purchased. It is conferred upon ODLAA members who have distinguished themselves by their service over an extensive period of time to the cause of open, distance and flexible learning in Australia. Nominations are brought forward by three members of the ODLAA community, considered by a panel, and decided at an Annual General Meeting. ODLAA currently has five Life Members.

 

 

Individual membership $110.00*

This category is open to all persons who have an interest in distance education and open learning. Membership confers on those individuals all of the rights, privileges and obligations of membership, including the right to cast a single vote on any matter brought before the Association. Benefits include:

  • subscription to the international journal Distance Education and the Association's newsletter ODLAA Times;

  • copies of ODLAA Occasional Papers published during the subscription year;

  • a Membership Directory published once a year;

  • reduced registration fees at ODLAA conferences, seminars and workshops;

  • membership of ODLAA Special Interest Groups;

  • access to regional and international networks of distance educators.

Student membership $77.00*

This category is open to all students enrolled in graduate course with a required focus in Open and Distance Education. Membership confers on those individuals all of the rights, privileges and obligations of membership, including the right to cast a single vote on any matter brought before the Association. Membership in this category is restricted to a period of two years.

Benefits are the same as for an individual member.
